Foods to Boost Your Immune System!

Today, I'm Discussing Foods That Fight Disease!

Thanks for joining me for my video blog today. I have been discussing in my past blogs how I want to be my healthiest self. Today we're talking about vegetables and spices that can really give your immune system the boost it needs to fight off diseases.

I love it that you are holding me accountable, and many of you have said you love being accountable to me also. I've received many comments from ladies who just want to feel better. If feeling better means loosing weight, then… by golly… that's what we will do! 🙂

Would You Like to Hear About My Favorite Smoothie?

Here's my favorite recipe – I know you'll LOVE it!Protein Powder - Rice Milk - Frozen Blueberries-r49-r49

Start with about 1/2 to 2/3 cup of almond milk, cashew milk or rice milk

  • Add a handfull of frozen blueberries
  • Half to a whole frozen banana
  • A couple of leaves of boch-choy or spinach
  • One scoop of Protein Powder
(I like Sunwarrior Classic Protein Powder found on Amazon)
  • Mix all of this in a Magic Bullet or Blender and Enjoy!

If you have some extra, just sit your cup in the freezer and eat your slushy with a spoon later.

    • I only drink one of these per day Sharon, but you could have more.  I am trying to even limit my cashew and almond milk.

There are so many different things you can add to this smoothie.  I just happen to prefer this mixture! 🙂

  1. Nancy, you are such a nice lady. I listen to you after I have laid down in the bed to start getting sleepy, hopefully!! I, too, have fibro, as well as other issues that go with it and insomnia is one. I take something to help me relax and turn my mind off and listening to you makes me feel good- like I'm listening to a nice friend about her day! I think what you are doing is great! I have lost too, but just in the past week, I have been eating too many sweets again and I feel so bloated and lethargic. It really does make a difference, so I make a vow to you that I am going to get back where I was and only occasionally have a small sweet treat. I feel so much better when I eat that way and I don't want to gain that weight back!! I lost over 20 pounds and that is a lot on me, but I needed to. Well, have a great day tomorrow- hope the storms don't blow your way and thanks for your encouragement!! Janie Guizlo

    • Thank you Janie!  It’s nice to know I’m being listened to as you are going to bed. It is good to relax, and the right foods can help control that also!

GREAT that you have lost 20 pounds!!  I applaud you – and am so proud of you!

Keep it up – you’re doing great.  Thanks for keeping in touch!

  2. I also have started a healthy way of eating. This is huge for me, no fast foods. Very little sugar. Vegetables, water. Lost 5 lb first week. Getting is a big step in the right direction.
