My Journey to Health as I Battle Fibromyalgia

With the release of "My Story" coming this year, I have decided to blog again. But this blog is different. It will be mostly a video blog.

With the release of: "My Journey Through Fibromyalgia: Rumors, Ravages & the Rescue" coming soon, I am want you to join me on a very special journey.

Fibromyalgia is an awful disease. It drastically attacked my body, my life, and our family. I have written about it in my book so you can learn receive help through my own experiences. It is my prayer that you will know what to look for so that you can fight back and be all that God wants you to be!

I know without a shadow of a doubt that diet plays a very important part in my journey and I have gotten slack about that. Please follow me in this new video blog. First, I am leaving off diet cokes again… then comes sugar, and many other foods which my body reacts negatively to.

  1. You are just what the doctor needed! LOL. Hi Nancy, it has been awhile since we have communicated. Fibromyalgia has been making my recovery from my second knee replacement surgery so difficult! Just two weeks ago, my physician prescribed Lyrica for me. It is has been difficult to acclimate to this medication, however I have been able to deal with my pain. I have been off of Diet Cokes for many months now, however find myself letting one slip in once in awhile. I am so excited to read your book, and even more so to watch your blog, and join you in this New Year pledge to get the weight off, and eat healthy again!

Thank you for having the courage to bare your soul, open your life to us and be such a mentor to those of us battling this disease. I appreciate you so much. Please give Steve my best wishes for his upcoming retirement! What an accomplishment!

Looking forward to sharing in your journey!

    Carson

    • Hi Carson!  So nice to hear from you again – it has been a while.

I’m sorry to hear about your knee surgery and your fibro and am praying that you’ll be able to do what’s possible to have a body that is not in pain.

And, thank you so much for your enouraging words.

      Blessings, Nancy

  2. Tears came in my eyes while watching the video…it's as though I am the one talking in the video…I too know what fibro can take away from one and their loved ones and unfortunately was diagnosed several years ago and I will be 59 yrs 2016.  I will never be able to put into words how my daily thoughts of you have made-my-days in wanting to continue with life and not give up.  I joined the group because I once had so much passion for making wreaths, arrangements for family & friends…it's been years since making a wreath for anyone.  Since joining, I've made several wreaths & arrangements for family and friends and I am no longer just "Taking-up-space or existing in this world…I am moving and doing once again…even when I'm not up-to-it."  Thanks seems such a simple word so I will say, "Love you for all you continue to do for us and certainly looking forward to the weekly videos:…Take care!!!

    • Oh Karen, you’re so sweet! I am sorry you’re dealing with fibro. We know how devistating it is.

But, I know you can feel better and get involved in hobbies and enjoy friends again.

My heart and prayers are with you!  Nancy

  3. Nancy, so glad you are doing this blog and I would like to be here to support you in this journey.  Not an easy life!

    • Thanks Margaret!  I’m glad you’re here too! 🙂
I really started this so each one who is going through the same issues as me could follow along, but I have received so many coments and emails of support.

      Very Blessed!  Nancy

  4. I'll be following. I'm off soda (almost 5 years), gluten (2 years) and sugar (2 weeks). The cold here has been the worst (-36) for me this year.

    • Good for you Darla!  You stayed off soda and gluten!  That is quite an accomplishment.

Sugar is hard!  Very hard.  Would love to have you along for the journey!

As I sit here this morning hurting in more places than I can literally count because it is 21 degrees, I cannot imagine it being -36.  You Go Girl!

      Blessings, Nancy
